About
Broadly, the Biopsychosocial Health and Development (BHAD) Lab studies the biology, psychology, and social factors underlying health and well-being.
To this end, our lab aims to
(1) identify biopsychosocial factors that shape risk and resilience to socioemotional and health outcomes,
(2) clarify within- and between-group differences in psychophysiological stress response, and
(3) translate knowledge about biopsychosocial mechanisms into targeted intervention efforts.
Our lab uses multisystem and multimethod approaches to address these aims, including assessment of multiple biological systems (variation in autonomic, neuroendocrine, and inflammatory functioning), behavioral observations, and self-report measures of early life stress and outcomes.
